FIRST TIME HOMEBUYERS
Opening the doors of homeownership through education.
The idea of having a home is exciting, and your first reaction may be to jump right in by contacting a Realtor or lender. Buying a home can’t be that hard—right?
The reality is purchasing a home is very complex, and no one can protect you and make the right financial decisions for your unique situation but you. This is why NeighborWorks Dakota Home Resources always recommends potential buyers take a homeownership education class before starting the process.
What You Will Learn:
Homebuyer Education takes you through the pre-qualifying with a lender, budgeting for a home, working with a realtor, what your credit score means, appraisals, Insurance and more. Many lenders require this class. In addition, NWDHR is able to share the programs they have to offer which include down payment and closing costs, low interest loans and more.
